Little by Little
Little by little.
Oftentimes when your world flips upside down, it make take a while to steady your boat.
That’s okay. The dizzying effect of events can create a swirl that defies the calm waters of yesterday.
Staying ‘present’ in those moments isn’t easy, but it’s the antidote to resistance. Deal with one thing at a time, one day at a time and one decision at a time.
When faced with new life realities, prioritize the decisions, the moments and the day.
Your footing will come. The sands WILL stop shifting, and you’ll gain the sure-footedness you once new.
Little by little.
Take the care you need to regain your composure and stride. Those relentless crashing waves of emotions will calm, as you purpose to take the best possible care of yourself during the upheaval. They will calm as well.
Little by little.
Ask for, expect and be willing to receive ALL of the help you need. However little or much help comes — be willing to receive it.
And if you find you are simply worn thin, overshadowed by hurt, disappointment, sadness or fear, give Grace a chance to quiet the heart.
Grace is a powerful antidote on every level, helping you make decisions, do the seemingly impossible and get back on track.
And then, little by little, you can see yourself expecting the best for yourself, your loved ones and your life.
You’ll find yourself raising the bar of expectation to be in line with your best possible life for the season you are in.
You’re worth it.

Trusting God
I posted this on Facebook in March of 2013 — I love the ‘memories’ that are shared on our timelines. Why are they always so appropriate again on a brand new day, and a brand new life point. At the end of this post, spend a moment with the affirmation — let it sink in and apply it to whatever is on your plate today.
When we need a reminder that we might be holding on a tad too tight to the reins in one or more life areas, that awareness can lead to an encouragement to loosen our grip — just a bit.
As you enjoy this visual see what comes to mind when you take that moment to ponder what you see. What pops into your mind? You may not realize you are holding too tightly. It may even have surprised you.
God is willing and well able to lead you in fresh new ways, head you in a better direction and layout a plan for an easier, smoother transition to a change in your life.
Today’s Affirmation:
I let go and trust God to showcase all right action on my part. There will be a knowing and confirmation within me.
With childlike trust, I move forward. I let go, and I trust God.

Spinning Perfectly
It’s a spring-like Saturday, and my opinion personally?
I’m grateful, glad and nicely satisfied when I ponder all I don’t have to be responsible for. The planet is indeed spinning perfectly in orbit at the hand of our Creator.
The stars are aligned and perfectly shining in the night sky. And when we are privileged to catch the unexpected glimpse of the occasional falling star, our heart stirs and a smile arises with the knowing we are not alone and the loving, living sovereign magistrate of the universe has His eye on it all. How wonderfully soothing & calming.
As you mind wanders back to all that’s on your personal plate, those life areas that are directly ours to care for, let the thoughts be easy today.
Rest in the palm of a loving, caring providential source, our Father God. Those thoughts and responsibilities are much more easily handled when we acknowledge we don’t have to handle it all, not right now, and maybe not even today.
Affirmation: Today I am grateful for that all that my Creator so effortlessly handles. In my mind’s eye when tempted to be unsettled I visualize the planet flawlessly spinning in place. I am grateful for the love and safely that is mine.

Keep Believing!
Keep Believing.
What a powerful antidote to the trauma we are facing at every turn from this and past seasons.
Believing changes your eyesight to see the goodness and grace through the fresh-found lens of your believing spirit.
- Believing for God’s best. And trusting the process to work for your good.
- Believing there is power in purposeful actions right here, right now in this season.
- Believing we have what it takes to overcome. Overcome IT ALL.
- Believing we can find new good, new purpose, new growth opportunities even yet today – Right here, right now.
Yes, believe and keep believing.
Believe today for God’s best in every area of your life, your ability to overcome and renewed hope for a brightness in 2021 that is yours for the asking.

Emotional Investing
Have you ‘spent foolishly’ or ‘invested’ unwisely? Have you paid too much for something only to find out later that you shelled out more than you had to? What about with your valuable time, attention, caring and giving attitude in relationships.I know at times I have, especially in certain relationships. And the good news, I am learning. Sometimes slowly, sometimes swiftly. My strong emotional quotient and strength as a natural empath can be pushed out of balance if I am not careful. As a natural encourager, and positive empath, I do seem to get tested a little more than I would like in this arena. For me, how much I invest can depend on how deeply my heart is engaged. So those wise spirit-inspired words ‘above all guard your heart‘ when allowed to run out in front of the investment can save much heartache.Setting up checkpoints in relationships to see if you’re getting back on a fairly even level with what you’re putting in can keep your energy high and intentions intact. It’s when you feel drained or prevailed upon one too many times with the same person, you have to take a step back and reassess. Kind of like the cha-cha. It may feel like two steps forward and one step back, but in the long run it may preserve your integrity and harmony.Today, assess one relationship where you have found yourself sinking too much — of your time, your feelings, valuable energy or perhaps even money.Trust you have what it takes to stop, look and listen. For years I used the red light, green light, yellow light as a quick marker to help me assess where not only the relationship is going, but where I AM going.Emotions can be rudders for success or destruction. Use them, pay attention, but trust that inner voice of wisdom and wellspring of God’s love for you to guide, guard and protect.
Ask yourself the tough questions. Journal out the answers and insights.
Today’s a great day for just such an assessment.
